CoPa is different. It's built for parents who are past the hardest part and ready for a calmer routine, not for people preparing for a fight. But if things ever do escalate, the record is already there, because every interaction was documented from day one.
Everything in CoPa is designed to reduce friction, not add it. Structured data replaces conversations wherever possible. The communication that does happen is structured, documented, and on the record.
Connemara Labs
A one-person software studio based in Maryland. I started Connemara Labs to build tools that reduce friction in parts of life that most software ignores. CoPa is the first one.
Bootstrapped and self-funded. No venture capital, no growth-at-all-costs pressure. The goal is software that does one thing well. Legal claims about record admissibility are reviewed by outside Maryland family law counsel.

How we build
Calm, documented, low-volume
Every feature should reduce messages, not create more. If structured data can replace a conversation, it should.
Perspective-based, not power-based
Both parents see the same data from their own viewpoint, with equal access and equal standing.
Not a chat app
CoPa is not a place to have long conversations. Messages are kept in a single documented stream, and the app is designed so that most coordination happens through structured data, not back-and-forth.

Messages can't be edited or deleted once sent. Every interaction is timestamped and preserved exactly as-is.

Calm Reading rewrites the tone for the person reading the message. The sender's original words are never altered and are always one tap away.
